Passion = Ambition
The Myth of Passion & Ambition

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between those of bif, grand ambitions & visions & those who seem 2 be fine & content with... well.. seemingly just getting by.. just existing??
You might have heard of the Nelson Mandela Quote that states that...
"There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."
Theme: Self-actualization, rejecting mediocrity, and stepping into your full potential.
Tone: Direct, motivational, self-driven.
Context: Mandela was encouraging people, especially South Africans, to rise up and rebuild the nation by not settling for less than they are capable of.
The society we live in seems 2 view the individual more as a cogwheel in the grander societal mashinery that is supposed 2 funcion & work in a certain, pre-determained, given way.. it has 2 fit, NOT being an individual, a human, a living beeing with hopes, wants & needs.
Viewing & using them as such.. it is hugely & widely complained about the poor attitude & moral of those supposedly motivated, characterless followers, workers.. tool beings.
Yet, quptes like this try to remember each & every single one of us who might find themselves in such a position that they are lived & used & are merely going through the motions with hardly any fire left behind within themselves.
Just 2 be clear, upfront... as much as I see more than enough things we can & maybe should criticize wihtin our western, mechanical world & society... eventually I restrain & refuse from going there all too much! Why? Cause it doesn't help you or me or anyone! It doesn't change anything.
As another saying goes.. he who has the responsibility has the power.
All you truly ever can do, influence & change is how you hold yourself.. how you act & show up! This is what you can && have 2 do, in order 2 take back charge of you & your life!
2 feel alive, empowered & connected 2 the magic of & in life.. you have 2 strive to realize your full potential, 2 your best of abilities! You're growing or dying! You are taking back more & more power of & over yourself, or you're giving it up!
&& always know... it's a choice & decision! YOUR Chouce & Decision!!
NOT faith or your upbringing or anyone or anything else!!
ONLY once you embrace that as it stands & is.. you will be able 2 change & finally release your old chains 2 step into the power of your free choice & the owning of your time, energy & attention!
Whose Goal(s)??
Next 2 N. Mandelas nice quote there is another saying you might or might not be familiar with, yet which is of quite some value 4 all those who desire 2 live & create their own life's & dreams!
It says that a person w/o clear, precise own goals will be employed by others with clarity of thiers, 2 make theirs happen & real.
There might be a handful of people & projects out there who are worth 2 determine your attention & time 2.. 2 get attached with... but are their dreams yours? Do you share the same values & ethics? Do they help you 2 be/come a better human being... a more loving, caring, giving... will you be better, cause you joint forces or are you selling yourself out?
Whatever it is you are doing.. whoever's vision, goal & decision it is... does it fill you up? Does it make you feel alive, inspired & motivated?? If so.. then I wouldn't know what should be wrong about it!
Yet, if it doesn't.. no matter what it pays you... what good is it?? At the end of your life.. will you be fine & fulfilled, satisfied with your actions & doings, if that is how you spent your time & energy? If no.. then why stay & settle.. why accept 2 make a failure out of you & your life?
Your one chance of getting it right?!
Be Aware of Your CHAINs!
Understand who, how & where you are!!
In order 2 move from A 2 B.. you have 2 1st know where you are! In the area of your individual journey as human being it includes the chains that hold you back. Your fears, your doubts, your believes..
In this context I want to mention the powerful quote of Marianne Williamson from her book "A Return to Love: Reflections of the Principles of A Course in Miracles".
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Theme: Letting your light shine, not hiding your gifts out of fear or humility.
Tone: Spiritual, empowering, deeply reflective.
Context: She's speaking to the idea that everyone has innate greatness (or "light"), and dimming it out of fear or shame helps no one.
INSIGHTs
So many traditions & people a good deal smarter & wiser than we might be shared the sentiment... so why shouldn't we dare 2 care? Dare 2 listen?
>> Don't underestimate yourself! Your limits are those you put upon you or accept as yours!
>> You don't do anyone (whose opinion could matter) a favor by being less than you could & as some say.. therewith should be(com). Not you & neither other's you fail 2 serve in failing 2 show up & growing into your full potential by failing 2 show up.
>> Your abilities & potential might not just be viewed as a possibility, but also an obligation 2 all the ones you could serve & help, by realizing it. It's them as much as yourself you are letting down, if you choose to do so. IN the same way & manner do you liberate not only yourself, but also all the one's who might follow behind you, those who follow in your paths & might face even if just a little less resistance & hurdle.. pain & objection.
There does exist some kind of unwritten social contract from one generation 2 the next that they are leaving hte world a little less struggling & hurting.. a little better & richer behind. One who elevates the other.. like Shiller said.. that we are sitting on the shoulders of giants... what leap ahead & up is ours?
